How do I play Soldiers Inc.?
The first place to go is the Soldiers Inc. Wiki. Read your way through the basics and continue to get a solid understanding of all aspects of the this fun game.
For those of you who just want to know the most important basics right now, here we go:
Now that you know the most important basics, you have to know how to even grow more and become a valuable member of our combine:
For those of you who just want to know the most important basics right now, here we go:
- If you are really new to this game, follow Mr. Blacks lead and do whatever he says. You will be fine listening to him for the most parts.
- First build all Landing Zones, Oil Derricks, Munition Factories and level them up in rotation; The Commandants Office will help you to reduce building time, if you also upgrade it, it is worth it in the long run
- Upgrade Storage Depots & Field Kitchens, they allow you to store more resources
- The Bunker protects troops from attacks when they are secured inside, never forget to bunker your units before you log off! Upgrade your Bunker to protect resources from being stolen!
- Work on the the Special Ops (symbol with an asian woman with a knife on the left task bar) every day to get resources and experience points!
- The best way to get resources is by raiding. You can have a good and steady income of resources by raiding the deserted farms around your base. This way, you can easily get 30k resources per day. That is 10 x 3k raids. Try to keep 20 Thunderheads safe for this purpose only, do not endager them by doing any Search & Destroy missions and raiding life farms with them.
- To be able to build new types of units, you have to negotiate contracts. For that you need referrals. Log in daily to get a new referral every day. Some referrals you might get twice, those you can try to trade on the exchange (another building) for the one you need or ask in combine chat for it.
- Only send units you can build to Search & Destroy missions, that would be Sappers and Riflemen for starters.
- Do not spend any diamonds (especially not to revive units lost on S&Ds) unitl you know what best to spend them on, let them build up first and decide later, when you know the game better
- Last but not least, come to combine chat! You get to know your teammates there, who will be happy to help you!
Now that you know the most important basics, you have to know how to even grow more and become a valuable member of our combine:
- Take 30 seconds to check our diplomacy agreements everyday: Joint Ops Centre > My Combine > Diplomacy. If someone, who we have a diplomatic status with, recons or attacks your home base for example, you must not retaliate in any way under any circumstances! Contact him and ask to explain his actions. Usually it is because of lack of attention and he will apologise. If you don't find an acceptable solution, contact his CEO. If you cannot solve the matter on your own, contact your CEO / OO.
- Befriend with your teammates and send them a sapper to expand our Combine Defense Network (only if they are not occupied by friendly forces!).
- Defense wins the game, so just build the bare minimum of offense force required for farming and concentrate on building defense!
- Send at least 80% of your defense to our MCs! They bring us fame and glory, boost combine ranking, give us the possibility to upgrade our units to veteran, and last but not least allows all of us to grow together!
Important: never send all of your defense to a single MC, spread it across several MCs to minimize the risk of total loss! Doing so also increases your chance to spend cash. - Do not try to defend a depot! Only use a few easy to replace units to hold a depot, never your whole army or you risk losing all of it! And do not only check in the radar station if it is vacant, but on the map, too!
- Boost your defense with stims in the Medical Labratory! Use the operation tab to merge stimulants to get higher ones, then apply them to the available slots. Hover with your mouse over the stim to see its attributes, e.g. Resistance = Light Def Units. You then apply the highest levels according to what troops you have in the MC. Do not combine higher than level 4 for now, this way you can remove the stims from the slots without losing them.
- In your Training Centre, work straight down the middle doing the minimum until you get to the eagle, then work 'right' to boost 'Ration consumption' and 'Veterancy Cost'
- A great way to share intel with your teammates is being partners with them. If you have any partners in your Joint Ops Centre, they can see everything you do and vice versa. You turn this function on by clicking on the CB Radio on the left of your screen, Reports > Joint Ops > Settings, tick all. This way you will see your partner's raids, occupatons and recons etc. Important note: only accept parnersship from those you trust of OUR own combine players.
- Check the Black Market > Resources > Fuel/Munitions/Rations tabs, you might have unused available +25% resource production boosts or free resources
- As a valuable member, you will get cash rights at some point. Watch this video to make sure that you know how to spend your daily allowance: How to use Syndicate Cash in a Mining Complex
- Only make low level troops and feed them into the top level Search and Destory missions: Radar > Zheng Shi Forces. You will eventually get a payout of higher level units which you then send to the MC. Make and send in like 50 Sappers at a time to the highest ZHG mission you have, sooner or later you should get a payout. You can do this until level 20 or so. At that point, you might want make Heavy Snipers instead of Sappers, since they are a lot better. This is not the best way to do S&D, if you really want to grow a large army, come to Dolby and learn all about the Banking Method and how to do S&D the right way...

How do I distribute my defense evenly to the MCs?
Example for a truly evenly distribution:
Let's say you have got 5000 Firedrakes, 50 Harpys, 1000 Syndicate Creightons and 25 Typhoons. Right now we possess 24 level 5 MCs.
5000 Firedrakes divided by 24 MCs equals 208 Firedrakes/MC. 1000 Syndicate Creightons divided by 24 MCs equals 41 Syndicate Creightons/MC. 50 Harpys divided by 24 MCs equals 2 Harpys/MC. 25 Typhoons divided by 24 MCs equals 24 Typhoons/MC.
One could argue that this is a bit of micromanagement, but it is necessary to ensure that all of our level 5 MCs are (equally) defended to the best of our capabilities, i.e. without them having any defensive gaps. Moreover you minimize the risk of losing most or all of your troops in case of a heavy attack. And of course you will have a higher chance of spending cash, since you will not be dependent on one or two MCs only!
By the way, if you are annoyed by MC reports, you can simply change the settings of which type of MC reports you want to receive. I for example do not care about ZHG attacks on MCs and have deactivated that. I only get reports if someone really attacks our MCs and that is not often.
What is a 'Juicy Fruit'*?
Under normal circumstances you can raid a base for 50k resources per week max. But there is a trick to evade that limit: just before your raid hits (e.g. 10 seconds before it does), send resources to the targeted base and cancel right after the hit. If you have maxed out your Logistics Exchange, Loading Dock and used 500 IPs to upgrade your convoy capacity, you can send up to 36k resources in a single load. With the activated Executive Status even some more. By sending the resources to the base you change the balance to your favor and can raid up to 86k (100k) with a single raid, hence 'Juicy Fruit'.
How to acquire new MC?
Mining Complex is introduced to the game at random and its easier to take a MC directly from ZHG than to wage battle for it with another combine. Hence, its effectively a race grab!. Its not recommended to wait for a recon report or to organize a combine attack against ZHG. Use your boost effectively as most MC will be taken within 30 min of release.
How much to send? On average each MC is protected by 150k to 300k ZHG and in very rare occasion it may go up to 800k.
What to send? Prioritize Syndicate tanks and Assault Infantry as they have zero resource value. You may attack multiple MC at the same time by sending batches of 2.5mil Offence to each target.
After acquiring, go to Garrison, pull your offence quickly and send defense & drones.
